Gui Tavares is a Brazilian songwriter and music professional based in London who produces and coordinates many of his own projects and shows and works in partnership with other individuals and organizations both in London and around the world. In addition to his significant work as a performer.

Before living in London, in 2000, he performed with Bosco de Oliveira at Barbican on the same night as João Gilberto, the big name of Bossa Nova. Since then, his international concerts have been very successful in the UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil. He wrote songs and produced some tracks for the group Jazzinho, which had some big names as Jazz: Ed Motta, Max Middleton, and Jim Mullen.

Gui played in different venues in London with Xantone Black (Amy Winehouse and Omar), songwriter and singer. He worked in the production of an event in Canning House – London with Carlos Lyra and Marcos Valle.

In Brazil, he performed with Joyce and Clara Moreno on a TV show for the country. His group had performed in many festivals, such as Salisbury, Hackney, Carnaval Del Pueblo, Luton, London City Fest, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Hampstead Heath, Queens Park, and others. He also, performed in gigs, and venues, such as Jazz Café, Pizza Express Jazz Club, 606, Rich Mix, and Somerset House. He recently performed with the orchestra in the role of Tom Jobim at Cadogan Hall. Also, he plays in commemorative events, celebrations, parties, and weddings alone or with a group.
